Personal Support Worker- Casual

The Personal Support worker is responsible for providing excellent care to our clients in hospital and private care settings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- personal care
- assisted feeding
- companionship
- monitoring safety
- light meal preparation/housekeeping
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent Communication skills
- Caring and compassionate
- Must speak, read and write English fluently
- Good computer skills
Experience Required:
- Must have working or clinical experience in an acute care ofr long term care facility within the past year
- access to a vehicle not mandatory but an asset
- Willing to undergo a Police Reference Check that includes records of voluntary and involuntary apprehensions and transfers to a mental health facility, incident reports, charges or having been a victim, suspect or witness to an occurrence. Police Reference Check will e required to be renewed annually.
Education and Training:
- Holds a current Personal Support Worker Certificate through a program approved by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities or from a Registered Private Career College
- Successful completion of PSW National exam if graduating from a Registered Private Career College
- Must hold a current BCLS-CPR certificate
- Must hold a current N95 Respirator Mask Fit test card
- Communicable disease immunization status must be up to date (ie: immunizations include MMR, DPT, TB testing, Hepatitis B)
Locations Available:
- Able to work in Central Toronto
- Flexible and must be able to work weekends
