Carecor Awarded Food Services Transportation Contract with Rouge Valley Health System

Carecor Health Services is pleased to announce they have been awarded the Food Services Transportation Contract with Rouge Valley Health System (RVHS) between their Ajax (west Durham) and Scarborough (east Toronto) sites commencing July 1, 2009.

The scope of the contract encompasses the scheduled pickup and delivery of prepared food to and from the two sites in a temperature controlled, refrigeration truck on a daily basis.

"We were excited to become a quality service vendor for RVHS.   The handling, temperature control and strict maintaining of the food pickup and delivery schedule is critical to patients and the kitchen staff.  Patients rely on us to receive their meals on time; some meals are specially prepared for specific dietary requirements, and the timing and handling of the food is critical.  

We will provide them value added services including GPS and temperature monitoring applications where they can track the vehicle, monitor the box interior temperature and know where their assets are at all times." said Tom Kobayashi, Carecor's Director of Transportation Services. 

RVHS is an excellent acute care community hospital, and consists of several health sites, including two community hospital campuses: Rouge Valley Centenary in east Toronto; and Rouge Valley Ajax and Pickering in west Durham.
