Carecor Awarded Transportation Contract with Hamilton Health Sciences & St. Joseph’s Healthcare

Carecor Health Services is pleased to announce it has been awarded the Internal Transportation Services contract with Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) and St. Joseph's hospitals in Hamilton, Ontario, commencing March 1, 2010.

The scope of the contract encompasses pickup and delivery of express lab courier services, pharmaceuticals, central processing, health records, nuclear medicine, diagnostic imaging, laundry and linens, and food and nutrition services.

This contract compliments and extends our current healthcare transportation network throughout Ontario.

Hamilton Health Sciences is comprised of six unique hospitals and a cancer centre and employs nearly 10,000 people. The facilities include Hamilton General Hospital, Chedoke Hospital Site, McMaster University Medical Centre, McMaster Children's Hospital, Henderson Hospital, St. Peter's Hospital and Juravinski Cancer Centre.  A complete range of acute and specialized health care services is provided.

With a staff of more than 4,000 and with over 650 beds, St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton's four locations - including the Charlton, West 5th, King and Brantford campuses - provide tertiary, secondary and ambulatory health care services for the Hamilton-Niagara-Haldimand-Brant Local Health Integration Network, and the neighbouring regions of Halton, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Norfolk.
