After over 35 years working devotedly as the owner and president of Carecor Health Services Ltd. (Carecor), Robert Yeo (known as Bob to his staff) is set to retire as of November 29, 2019. Mr. Yeo has been the driving force behind one of the most established Canadian healthcare staffing services by delivering an alternative employment service rooted in exceptional client service and patient care delivery. His values of superior client service, high ethical standards, and respect for staff and clients have been hallmarks of Carecor since its inception.

With a wealth of industry experience, Mr. Yeo has always been interested in healthcare and business. After graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree and later a Master of Business Administration, Mr. Yeo was able to advance the role of the private sector within Canada’s public healthcare system. Having worked in management positions in the hospital sector, government and health policy organizations, Mr. Yeo brings insights into the contribution the private sector can make to enhance healthcare delivery in Canada.

“Over the years, Carecor has grown to provide healthcare facility staffing services to cities and towns across Ontario and Nova Scotia. I am proud of our management and administrative team and all the healthcare providers who have chosen to make Carecor their employer. I look forward to following Carecor’s continued growth and future success,” said Mr. Yeo.

Appointment of Successor
On September 4, 2019 Carecor appointed Jay Sahar as Carecor’s new Director of Operations. This appointment was part of the transition plan leading up to the retirement of Mr. Yeo. On November 30th, Mr. Sahar will then assume overall responsibility for Carecor’s branch offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, Hamilton and London.

"I've had the pleasure to work alongside Robert Yeo for the past three months during this leadership transition and I can honestly say that the Carecor team has a lot to be proud of," said Mr. Sahar. "I am honored and excited to take on this role and I look forward to building upon the strong foundation and brand that Carecor has become known for."

Mr. Sahar was an Area Director with Bayshore Home Health, responsible for its York Region branch office in Richmond Hill. He is a registered nurse and has worked in hospital emergency departments. For a while, Mr. Sahar ran his own hospital staffing agency. He has over 17 years’ experience in all facets of healthcare sales, securing contracts for MCI Medical Clinics and API Pharmacies. Mr. Sahar will be based in Carecor’s Toronto office.
